After being forgotten by the Taiwanese military for twenty over years, former RF-101 pilot Xie Xianghe will be awarded with the Armed Forces medal.
Xie was shot down over mainland China while on a mission in 1964 and did not return to Taiwan until 1985. After he return to Taiwan, he was forced to retire and forfeit his pay for the past twenty years while being imprisoned in China.
