The U.S. Navy and General Atomics are working to fix problems with the Electronic Aircraft Launch System after the first successful launch last year.
The motors that lined the launch system needs to be tuned so that there are no ‘gaps’ when the aircraft is accelerated. There is a gap when one motor hands off to the next one during a launch.
