MADL not mature enough to be integrated into F-22

U.S. ir Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz told the House Appropriations defense subcommittee that the Multifunction Advanced Datalink was not mature enough to allow it to be integrated into the F-22.

“We should let the F-35 development effort mature before tacking it onto the F-22, this was a cost and a risk calculation on our part,” Schwartz said.
