Six Harriers from VMA-231 left MCAS Cherry Point on Friday to join USS Bataan where they will sail together to the Mediterranean for possible action in Libya.
Bataan and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit will be taking over from the 26th MEU, currently enforcing the United Nations Resolution 1973 in Libya.
