HMX-1 gives up CH-53, will eventually transition to MV-22

HMX-1, the unit that flies the Marine One Presidential helicopter, will give up their CH-53 helicopters on Apr. 15.

The CH-53s are commonly used for transporting White House staff and equipment, they will be replaced by the CH-46 until the squadron transition to the MV-22 in 2013.
