Raytheon has decided to enlist the help of Nammo, a Norwegian ammunitions firm, in an attempt to address delays in delivering the AIM-120.
It has now been revealed that an accident at Alliant Techsystems (ATK), supplier of the motor, was the cause behind the backlog of more than 100 missiles.
Nammo will now act as a second source for the motor.
