For the first time, second-hand Mi-17s were flown to Huntsville International Airport, Alabama aboard a An124 where they will be modified by Science and Engineering Services.
Previously, they were shipped to Florida then flown to Huntsville.
After modifications, they will be transferred to Fort Rucker for training Afghan airmen at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence.
