The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified Congress of a potential sale of six second-hand KC-130Rs to Japan.
While the aircraft and 30 T-56-A-16 engines will be sold as Excess Defense Articles (EDA), Japan has requested to buy 6 non-EDA spare T-56-A-16 engines as well. The aircraft will have the AN/APS-133 radar.
