Confidential documents concerning British plans to develop a drone with France were lost when the briefcase with the files were stolen at a train station.
A senior Dassault Aviation official was distracted at the Gare du Nord station in Paris and left the briefcase unattended.
Dassault stressed that the secrecy of the project has not been compromised by the theft.
