A 35-year-old New Zealand man landed himself in court after police matched his DNA to a sample taken from a spit on the wheel cover of a RAAF C-17 that was vandalized four years ago.
The aircraft had parked overnight at Whenuapai Air Base in September 2008. It had to be removed from active service for extensive repairs.
