GAO faults MDA for concurrency

The U.S. Government Accountability Office said the Missile Defense Agency should not employ concurrency methods to develop and deploy its ballistic missile defense systems.

The GAO said it found that the Ground-based Midcourse Defense, the Aegis Standard Missile 3 Block IB, and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense all suffered from the effects of concurrency in 2011.
