Maj. J. Eric Grunke, a AV-8B pilot with the U.S. Marine Corps, recalls the mission to rescue a USAF F-15E who had ejected over Libya last year.
Grunke was the on-scene commander and he dropped two 500lbs bombs to prevent the capture of the pilot. For his actions, he was named the Marine Aviator of the Year by the Marine Corps Aviation Association.
