The Taiwanese military has confirmed that a MIM-72A/M48 Chaparral missile lost track of its target and veered off near to houses in Pingtung County during an exercise in March.
The missile fired by the Marine Corps exploded near a vehicle and the military had since compensated villagers for the damage and apologized.
