Schwartz suggests reducing number of nuclear warheads in reserve

Outgoing USAF chief of staff Gen. Norton Schwartz has suggested that the U.s. reduced its reserve stockpile of nuclear warheads.

The U.S. currently has about 1,700 warheads ready for deployment with another 2,800 kept in reserve.
