A C-17 that was used by chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, was damaged during a rocket attack at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Dempsey was elsewhere when the attack was carried out.
The plane suffered damage to its fuselage and engine cowling. An Apache parked nearby was damaged as well.
