A Russian regional court earlier on Monday ruled that Su-24 flights over the city of Chelyabinsk are illegal.
A spokesman for the Central Military District said the military will file an appeal against the ruling.
The Su-24 was introduced to nearby Shagol air base in November 2010, since then, residents have been complaining about the noise from the aircraft.
