EADS touts UH-72 as replacement for U.S. Army OH-58

EADS on Thursday said the U.S. Army can operate an armed version of the UH-72 at the same or less cost than upgraded OH-58s.

To prove its point, the company brought a modified UH-72 and a Eurocopter EC-145 T2, acting as a stand-in for the AAS-72X+, to the Army’s high altitude training and testing range in Alamosa, Colorado a few weeks ago and both aircraft handled perfectly.
