VMFA(AW)-242 flew simulated strike mission from Japan to Philippines

F/A-18Ds from VMFA(AW)-242 flew simulated bombing runs in Crow Valley, Philippines Oct. 12. The four aircraft took off from Iwakuni, Japan and were refueled by KC-130s from Futenma during the four-hour trip.
