Report finds flaws in U.S. missile shield in Europe

Secret Pentagon studies have cast serious doubt on the effectiveness of a U.S. missile defense system planned for Europe.

The Missile Defense Agency concluded that Romania was a poor location for an interceptor to protect the U.S.

While Poland is a better location, Iranian missiles can only be intercepted with modified interceptors at its short initial phase of flight. Attempting to intercept using Navy ships in the North Sea will probably upset Russia as well.
