VX-1 has declared the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye “suitable and effective” in an Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) report. This clears the way for full-rate production.
During IOT&E, VX-1 also tested the Hawkeye’s ability to counter enemy unmanned aircraft systems during Black Dart exercise at Naval Air Station Point Mugu.
