Kamov’s chief designer told attendees at Heli-Expo that his firm was asked by China to develop the Z-10 attack helicopter under Project 941 in 1995.
Sergei Mikheyev said the Chinese gave its requirements on weight and performance and Kamov went to develop the helicopter using those requirements.
