VAQ-136 has completed an 11-month transition from the EA-6B Prowler to the new EA-18G Growler. The squadron previously served as the U.S. Navy’s forward deployed EA-6B squadron based out of Atsugi, Japan.
The squadron also took the opportunity to recast their insignia. The Gauntlet now holds a sword symbolic of the enhanced lethality of the EA-18G.
