India’s defense ministry has ruled that 22 AH-64s being purchased will go to the Air Force rather than Army.
Defense Minister A K Antony had decided earlier that all ‘future’ procurements of attack helicopters bought will be operated by the Army. However, the AH-64s are considered ‘current’ procurement.
