Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) is pitching its HTT-40 basic trainer as a cheaper alternative than the Pilatus PC-7 Mark II for IAF.
The company argued that the HTT-40 will be built, maintained, overhauled and upgraded in HAL, thus the life cycle costs are lower.
