The U.S House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific on Thursday passed the Taiwan Policy Act of 2013, which authorizes the U.S. government to sell new F-16C/Ds to Taiwan.
The act also authorize the transfer of decommissioned missile frigates to Taiwan and support Taiwanese membership of international organizations.
It will now go to the Foreign Affairs Committee for review and if approved will be put to a vote by the full House.
