Australia to buy 12 EA-18Gs, commits to F-35

Australia’s 2013 Defence White Paper says the government remains committed to buying 100 F-35s and will buy 12 EA-18Gs.

Previous plan was to convert 12 F/A-18Fs to EA-18Gs, now these Super Hornets will be retained. The government also plans to replace the AP-3C fleet with P-8A at the end of the decade. The P-8A will be supplemented by unmanned aircraft.
