The U.S. Navy on May 2 inaugurated the first helicopter squadron made up of both manned and unmanned helicopters.
HSM-35 flies the MH-60R and MQ-8B from Naval Air Station North Island. It will deploy for the first time on board USS Fort Worth next year.
The squadron has a total of eight Seahawks and 10 Fire Scouts, the MQ-8s will be based at the Rancho Bernardo campus of Northrop Grumman.
