The Republic of China Air Force sent two Mirage 2000-5 jet fighters to take part in a naval exercisewith the Navy and Coast Guard in waters south of Taiwan Thursday.
The exercise is part of the country’s efforts to better protect Taiwanese fishermen operating in the area after one fisherman died when his boat was shot by Philippine vessel.
