Coke can help VR-62 crew rescue stranded family

A C-130 crew from VR-62 rescued a family of five stranded in a boat in the Pacific Ocean after spotting light reflecting off a can of Coca-Cola on May 25.

The seven crew members were on a scheduled overnight stop in Guam when were asked to assist in the search and rescue mission off the coast of Chuuk Island, Micronesia by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Three hours into the search, the crew noticed a flash of light and located the survivors who were stranded for seven days.
