Lt. Gen. Koichi Isobe, the vice chief of the joint staff with Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, went on a familiarization flight on board a MV-22 at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar on Jun. 18.
Isobe also visited simulators for the Osprey. He and his aides took turns behind the controls of the simulator.
