The Philippine defense department’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) has approved the plan to buy 12 FA-50 jet trainers from KAI.
The terms of reference for the project will now be forwarded to Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin for final approval. Once approved, negotiations with KAI can start.
