Sequestration undercutting USN’s ability to respond rapidly to future crises around the globe

Admiral Jonathan Greenert, the chief of naval operations, said he now only has one fully prepared carrier strike group and one amphibious assault group in reserve to response to a global crisis due to budget cuts.

He added that a year ago, the U.S. Navy had three of each that could have been used.
