The U.S. Air Force has come up with a new rapid response force concept that allows four F-22s, one C-17 and a maintenance team to quickly deploy and operate from unexpected locations.
Developed by Lt. Col. Kevin Sutterfield, a reserve F-22 pilot assigned to the 477th Fighter Group, the new strategy was tested during exercises in 2009, 2010, and 2012.
From now on, F-22s can now quickly deploy and operate from unexpected locations.
