U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel said Turkey has the right to buy Chinese-made air defense system during an event at the Turkish Embassy to Washington.
“Turkey is a close friend and ally to the U.S., a strong member of NATO, and we will continue working together within the framework of mutual security interests. Each country has its own decision-making process, and we care deeply about Turkey as a friend, partner, ally and, most of all, as a NATO ally,” Hagel said.
