During a press conference on Oct. 22, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying warned that Beijing will “resolutely respond to any external provocation” if Japan shoots down its UAV flying in the disputed Senkaku Islands.
Kyodo news reported that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has approved a plan to shoot down foreign drones that intrude into Japanese airspace.
