The Pentagon’s chief weapons tester wants the U.S. Navy to carry out shock testing on the USS Gerald Ford instead of carrying it out on the second ship.
Michael Gilmore also recommended that a new unmanned test ship be commissioned in order to fully test the combat systems for the Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer.
