USMC Capt. Brian Jordan, a UH-1Y pilot, received the British Distinguished Flying Cross at the British Embassy in Washington, Feb. 12.
Jordan is the second Marine aviator to earn the medal since World War II.
While assigned to HMLA-469 in Afghanistan, Jordan landed his helicopter in the middle of a firefight to rescue two wounded British soldiers on Jun. 21, 2012.
