An airbase at Ranai on Riau Island, Indonesia is being upgraded so that it could accommodate the Indonesian Air Force’s Su-27 and Su-30 fighters.
Base commander LTC Andri Gandy said the runway is being lengthened and other infrastructure upgrades such as runway lights, taxiway lights and integrated radar have been completed.
