The Swedish Accident Investigation Authority revealed that a Scandinavian Airlines flight came close to a Russian IL-20 ELINT aircraft on Mar. 5 just off the Swedish south coast.
SAS flight SK 681 was flying from Copenhagen to Rome when air traffic controllers warned the airliner of the potential danger. Both aircraft were reported to have passed by each other a mere 90 metres apart.
