ATC computers hang while trying to separate U-2 from commercial flights

Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed on Apr. 30 when computers at the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center. Sources told NBC News that the En Route Automation Modernization system failed while trying to separate a U-2, flying at 60,000ft, from other commercial aircraft flying below it.
