RQ-4 still needs $2 billion in upgrades to completely replace U-2

The U.S. Air Force has figured out that it needs $2 billion to upgrade its fleet of RQ-4 Global Hawks before the unmanned aircraft can replace the U-2.

Upgrades include ground stations, communications and imagery sensors plus the drone’s weather radar.
