Airbus plans to test-fly an enhanced version of the A330 MRTT in 2016 and when completed, it will apply these updates to the first Singapore aerial tanker.
Besides upgrades to the avionics and mission systems, the tanker version will get aerodynamic improvements that are already applied to civilian airliners.
