Indian Air Force scrambled MiG-21s to intercept Turkish airliner

Two Indian Air Force MiG-21s were scrambled on Jul. 13 to intercept a Turkish commercial jet after it broadcast a transponder code similar to another aircraft before it.

The IAF was on alert as the plane had entered its airspace from Pakistan. The Delhi-bound flight was allowed to proceed after the fighter jets verified its identity.
