Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) has questioned the decision by the John Howard government to buy the NH90 despite the fact that most service chiefs opted for the Sikorksy S-70M.
The helicopter is not expected to achieve Final operational capability (FOC) until 2019, twelve years after the first aircraft was delivered.
