India will not blacklist Rolls Royce due to “operational urgency and national security”

Rolls-Royce has escaped from being blacklisted by the Indian government after it was found to have hired an agent and paid commissions.

The company said M/s Aashmore Pvt Ltd was enlisted to help its dealings with Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) on the energy sector only.

The Modi government eventually decided that projects involving Rolls-Royce are crucial for “operational urgency and national security.”
