Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province is the most favorable location to deploy the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery in South Korea.
U.S. Forces Korea troops stationed north of the Han River are expected to relocate there as well. This makes it an ideal location to defend U.S. troops.
