Philippines 2015 defense budget to include weapons for FA-50, ASW helicopters, CAS aircraft

The Philippine Star claims to have obtained Manila’s 2015 defense budget. The Air Force will be buying six close air support aircraft and two long-range patrol aircraft.

Money will also be allocated to buy weapons for the 12 FA-50 that was purchased this year.

The Navy is seeking to obtain airborne anti-submarine warfare capability and has requested for two such helicopters.
