AV-8B carried out air strike in Iraq

A U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B, probably from VMA-231, has struck a target in Iraq on Sept. 8.

Harriers, from the 22nd MEU in the Bataan ARG, routinely flew over Iraq on surveillance mission. This is the first time the jet had fired a shot in anger.
