Two RoCAF Thunder Tiger AT-3s had a mid-air accident this morning over Ziguan District near Kaohsiung city.
One of the aircraft, #815, crashed and the pilot, Lt. Col. 莊倍源 Zhuang Beiyuan, was found lifeless on the ground. His parachute failed to open fully.
The other aircraft, #847, flown by Lt. Col. 楊志平 Yang Zhiping, safely recovered back to Republic of China Air Force Academy.
