RCAF evaluating 24/7 30 minutes response time SAR on east coast

Facing criticism, the Royal Canadian Air Force is evaluating a plan to provide daily 30 minutes response time search-and-rescue on the country’s east coast.

Under the current situation, rescue crews will scramble within 30 minutes during weekdays from 0800-1600 hours. On weekends and public holidays, the response time is two hours.
